Beautiful white goes with any table decor but most wonderful is the size. Plenty large for growing boys and girls.I was disappointed to realize that these bowls are made of tempered glass when I was expecting a porcelain product. But close examination of the ad reveals no mention of porcelain. So, my mistake. I can live with it and I won't return the item. I like the shape of this bowl and the size is perfect for serving pho. However, the matte glass finish (which the seller describes as, "frosted") does not match my white porcelain and the difference is noticeable when I mix a place setting. I expect that the glass will not hold up as well as porcelain.Update. I've been using these bowls almost daily for a year now and I have to say, they have held up beautifully. No cracks. No chips. No damage whatsoever. I've grown to like them a lot. Very practical size and shape. I warm food in these bowls in the microwave but never on a high temperature setting or for prolonged time settings. So, I've not had any damage events due to microwave use as some have described. I suspect excessive microwave heat and/or time settings accounts for brakeage events described in some reviews. So, use the microwave to warm your food in these bowls. Don't try to cook in the bowls and you won't break them.I’ve bought the 6.5” size of these several times. They're perfect for making ramen with round noodle cakes in the microwave although I use them for everything since they are a very useful size. Although they’re a bit harder to remove from the microwave than oriental style bowls with a pedestal, they don't have a pedestal to hold water in the dishwasher. These are thin glass bowls like Corelle not thick stoneware bowls like you would get chili in at a diner so don't expect that like some reviewers have. They are about as durable as Corelle. You can break them, but that usually doesn’t happen if you drop them.Love love love these bowls. They are the perfect size for grown ups. I also felt they were a great value.I've been looking for some new cereal bowls, smaller sized than I have now. I was happy with these as soon as I took them out of the box. Nice size, nicely made in the USA. Great outlet price too, and on prime. A real bargain.Do not put them away at all damp, they will get stuck together. They don't really stack all that well, tend to store crooked, but I like them a lot and they go well with my white Corelle dishes. They are a nice big size for soup or cereal. They get a hot when microwaved, but not diff than the Corelles. They fit well in the dishwasher. I have not had one break in months even with my kids emptying the dw.I needed more bowls than what we had. I’m a stickler for things matching- while they didn’t match my bowls perfectly I got them because I like the clean lines & the plain white. They were packaged neatly. I was surprised at how bright white they are compared to my white dishes. I was concerned with the 20 ounce that they would not fit in my dishwasher nicely but they are actually smaller than my old bowl size wise and hold more ounces. I love my old set but I’m considering buying the Harmin White Glass Series plates if I can find them. I measured out 20 oz and it fit the very top of the rim with a few drops spilling over-(such a measly amount that it could have been a slight measurement issue)They feel much lighter and thinner than my old ones- however they are durable. I’m a tad bit of klutz and have whacked them against the countertop several times while putting them away and they haven’t been bothered. I really light the lightness (as long as they’re strong as well).Perfect size for ice cream, cereal and soup.Easy to clean and is great for microwave
