I wanted a bowl that could hold a serving of salad, or pasta, or noodles, and let me thoroughly stir in the dressing or sauce or other add-in. In our smaller bowls, you either had to have a small serving, or spill out the contents as you tried to mix it up, or settle for having the dressing or sauce mostly on top. These bowls were the answer. Large enough to do the job but not "mixing bowl" overly large. They look nice, clean easily and, so far, have not chipped or discolored. I would happily buy them again.I can mix a large, single-serving salad in one of these bowls without spill the contents all over the counter. The bowls are large, beautiful, surprisingly heavy, and quite pricey.Packaged very well and arrived in perfect condition. In my opinion, this is a high quality and beautiful set of bowls that is the perfect size for salad or pasta.Ordered a set. One was shattered. Ordered a replacement set. One was shattered in that as well. Then got an email saying I need to pay for them and it was a real drag to sort out.Love them, perfect size for pasta or large soup or saladGreat bowls. They are great.Beautiful bowls my wife got me for soup, they seem delicate, and hand painted but the paint is still dry and textured. It's very interesting, especially with the spoons.
