I would have given 5 stars, but these cannot go into a microwave.These are the perfect size for instant packets of hot breakfast cereal (oatmeal, grits, cream of wheat), or a bowl of soup.The color is vibrant, and stays that way. They have the heft, smoothness and feel of ceramic dishes.
