I'm going to go ahead and give this 5 stars right away because it is the only product I've been able to find that solves the problem I've been trying to address, which is dealing with oils that may be hard at room temperature (ghee, clarified butter, lard, coconut oil, etc.). I've bought a number of different products here on Amazon but none of the others have worked well.Here is the issue: I like to use a lot of ghee/clarified butter (which I clarify myself), and also coconut oil in my cooking. It can be messy working with oils, but even more so saturated fats which can be solid at room temperature. Say I'm roasting veggies. Typically I'd have to use two spoons to get the ghee out of the jar, (one to scoop it, another to get it off the first spoon). Then I'd use a little custard cup to melt the ghee in the microwave. Then a silicon brush to brush it on veggies. 4 items for the one task.I initially bought a little ghee jar with a spoon, but that didn't really help out much.Then I bought an item that was a little glass jar with a brush insert here on Amazon. That worked so-so. The main problem was the brush handle contained metal, so it couldn't be put in the microwave. While microwaving the bottle, I'd put the brush on the counter, which had hardened ghee stuck to it and it tipped over on the counter. It was also kind of messy and functioned like my custard cup and silicone brush, needing to dip the brush in oil repeatedly.I also bought another item which works very well for oils, but as it had bits of plastic I realized it would get clogged and probably not do well in the microwave. I was considering getting the one product her on Amazon that heats up butter and functions as a sprayer, but it is expensive and seems like overkill for my needs.I've tried this product on both butter and coconut oil - and it works well. It is simple, made of glass and silicone, so it can handle being heated in the microwave. The flow rate is just right and you can also shake the bottle for faster flow. The lid is a hard plastic and no it doesn't screw on but it's fine (I am storing the bottle upright).Love this, and I'm going to order another one for coconut oil.
