I bought this model specifically because so many reviews mentioned that it’s perfect for chopping salsa items, which often get over-smashed in blenders or food processors, which I dislike. The reviews were 100% correct! Because this is manually cranked, it is very easy to control the amount of coarseness of the chop, for tomato, onion, garlic, jalapeno, etc. All items looked very uniformly diced and not “pulverized”. It does not require much strength or effort at all, just 8 to 12 gentle cranks/spins for most items; for a finer dice on garlic I did maybe 16-18 spins of the handle. Pretty easy to clean also. For me, this product exceeded expectations.After years my old chopper failed. This new one is great. Wish there was a spinner basket like my old oneI love this chopper. So handy and easy to useMachine works really well for salsa. Does nor over blend like an electric. You control the salsa chunkiness with ease. This why a bought this one.
